The owner of this semi-detached Doncaster home had a previous solar system removed to allow for the installation of a composite tile roof, so they needed new solar panels fitting.
We recommended a 3.8kW 8-panel system because it reduced the number of tiles that needed to be installed and provided the seamless look our client wanted. They had an existing feed-in-tariff installation so to avoid affecting their rates we kept the existing inverter, solar meter and batteries. This is what limited the solar installation to 8 panels, though more panels can be easily added in the future when the existing feed-in-tariff agreement comes to an end.
Outcome: The new panels will generate power for at least 30 more years and maximise the generation potential of the existing feed-in-tariff agreement, while also saving over 16 square metres of additional roof materials.
